How do I ship my Pets, Dog or Cat to Hong Kong?
Pet
Transport and Dog Shipping to Hong Kong requires
special care. You will need to apply for an Import permit
from the Agriculture, Fisheries and Conservation Department,
Hong Kong. You will also need an export health certificate
from your local DEFRA authority. The certificate will be
sent to the vet of your choice, which will need to be an LVI
(Local Veterinary Inspector) vet. Your local
veterinary practice should have an LVI vet.
a) pets must be microchipped.
b) Pets will need to be vaccinated as follows:
DOGS: no less than 10 days and no more than 12 months
prior to export, the dog must have been vaccinated against
(dogs over 12 weeks of age)ยท Distemper,
Hepatitis, Parvovirus
-Under 12 weeks of age- not less than 10 days before export,
the dog must have been vaccinated against the above, and the
dog must be at least 6 weeks old at the time of vaccination.
CATS: no less than 10 days, no more than 12 months
before export, the cat must have been vaccinated against Cat
Flu and Infectious Enteritis.
ORIGINAL VACCINATION RECORDS MUST TRAVEL WITH THE PET
c) There will need to be a final vet check (Which can be
done) no more than 14 days prior to pet travel when the vet
will complete the export certificate. We recommend that this
is done within 4 days of export.
d) Owners of female pets will need to sign a declaration
that the PET is not pregnant at the time of export or over 4
weeks pregnant.
e) You will also need to obtain a Declaration from the
Captain of the aircraft your pet will be flying with;
stating that the pet departed from the UK, he/she is staying
on the aircraft, will not be in contact with any other
animals and will not be landing in any other countries of
lower health status.

Thank you for your kindness and attention with my dog Bucky, I appreciate your sensitivity.

I have been using Pet Taxi for close to 5 years. The service is great, they know ALL of the vets in Los Angeles and the surrounding areas AND the driver is pet friendly and professional. Their prices are reasonable, too, even with gas prices being close to 4.00 a gallon.
